Mussanje Maathu was Mahesh's directorial debut. He had worked as an episode director of many television serials before assisting Ravi Srivatsa in Deadly Soma.

Mussanje Maathu told a touching story, also written by Mahesh. He also got some great performances from his cast, Sudeep and Ramya.
