I would want to believe that. There have been people who have acknowledged its importance like Rajat Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Dev Benegal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anil Kapoor. But we need producers to understand this.

Have you signed any Hollywood film?

I am talking with some people like Disney and the Slumdog producers. I have an agent now who will look out for work there. Here, I have Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film.

What response did you get from Bollywood?

People may have tried calling me but I did not answer any calls, as my telephone bill is huge! But Amitabh Bachchansaab sent me a huge bouquet and a very nice card, written in his own handwriting. I received calls from Malayalam actors like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep, Meera Jasmine and Nadia Moidu. I received a fax from Pranab Mukherjee.

How has life changed now?

It hasn't. I'm giving interviews now but the craze will die in a few days.
