The film's basic premise is about how formerly successful English television presenter David Frost put his career (and a ridiculous amount of money) on the line to interview disgraced former American President Richard Nixon.
Nixon's staff expertly extracts the unprecedented sum of $600,000 for the twelve two-hour interview tapings, and makes sure Nixon's well in control of the interviews.
On the other end, an increasingly beleaguered Frost struggles haplessly to gain some ground as the former President fends him off without breaking a sweat.
Eleven sessions take place, and the greatly hyped battle has turned into a no-contest as Nixon mops the floor with Frost. There's only one session left. A session that addresses a certain issue called Watergate.
