Bharat Shah was one of the most sought after producers in late 1990s and early 2000s until his name was linked with underworld don Chotta Shakeel.
One of the films that he produced was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas in 2002. Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff, who starred in the film, made an appearance at the wedding.
