Before there was anyone else, there was Lassie. Based on Eric Knight's novel, Lassie Comes Home is about the eternal bond between Roddie, a young Yorkshire boy and his pet, a vivacious Collie, named Lassie.
Trying times compel Roddie's parents to give Lassie to a wealthy Duke. True friends however cannot stay parted for long and Lassie embarks on an eventful journey, laced with danger as well as compassion before she can be united with her BFF.
This sweet, sentimental tale of epic proportions features a young Elizabeth Taylor in a supporting role. It is her second film and earned her good reviews.
