Mazhai's raunchy rain-scenes and sexy songs landed Shriya the project every Tamil heroine -- particularly rival Trisha -- would give anything for: director Shankar and superstar Rajinikanth's blockbuster, Sivaji.
Skimpy outfits, daring hip movements and a saucy smile were showcased flatteringly, even if acting was non-existent in Shriya's role.
Thus entered Tamil Nadu's poster-girl for 2007 despite the fallout on account of the tiny outfit she wore to a formal function and received brickbats.
