Anna was one of Sanju's closest friends. But things seems to have changed after their last film, EMI.

The movie was delayed because of Dutt's jail sentence, and then encountered further delays when Dutt did not turn up to dub for the film.

He felt EMI was being sold on his name though he only had a guest appearance in it. He also refused to promote EMI.

Anna claims the friendship is intact and made an appearance at Sanju's first wedding anniversary to prove it.
