Elvis Presley's last chart-topper, Suspicious Minds, hit Number One on the Billboard charts on November 1, 1969.
It had been seven years since the King had enjoyed that kind of success, as his career had begun to flag by then. From this point until his death in 1977, he would never hit the top again.
Bizarrely, the compilation album Elvis: 30 #1 Hits, released in November 2002, was the first Elvis album to hit Number One on the Billboard charts. It sold 500,325 copies in its first week alone.
