Named by People magazine as the sexiest man alive in 2007, Matthew Damon was born on October 8, 1970.
One of the top 25 highest grossing actors of all time, he became a household name after roles in blockbusters like Saving Private Ryan, Ocean's Eleven, The Bourne Identity, The Good Shepherd and The Departed.
He is also one of few actors to win an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, thanks to Good Will Hunting. Even better, his role in the film also led to an Oscar nomination.
Not bad for someone who dropped out of university to pursue an acting career.
