This neo-noir film helped launch the career of Kathleen Turner, who played a femme fatale out to murder her husband played by Richard Crenna. William Hurt plays the sleazy lawyer who helps out Turner by enlisting his client's (Mickey Rourke) help. Things begin to unravel when the District Attorney Peter Lowenstein (Ted Danson) and police detective Oscar Grace (J A Preston) begin investigating the case.
