rediff.com: Exclusive: Lal Jose's Tamil debut

Lal Jose says that it was the nature of the story that prompted him to make the film in Tamil. "The scarcity of water poses a big problem in certain villages in Tamil Nadu. The story will take a fantasy turn, if made in Malayalam, as water is not such a big issue there, compared to Tamil Nadu," says the director.

Vijay Ulakanathan cranks the camera for the movie while the music has been composed by Vidyasagar. Mazhai Varapoguthu is scheduled for April next year.
