After moving to Mumbai and graduating from Sydenham College, she was crowned Miss India in 1984, and made the long-established move to Bollywood. Her 1986 debut, Sultanat, was soon forgotten. A Kannada film called Premaloka, however, was a hit.
Finally, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak hit screens in 1988, and Juhi has never looked back. With that ever-smiling visage, she became one of Hindi cinema's most-loved actresses in the nineties.
From Darr to Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Yes Boss to Ishq, Juhi starred in over 70 films. After winning critics over with performances in films like Teen Deewarein and Bas Ek Pal, she eventually branched out into film production.
Today, apart from the odd role in films like My Brother Nikhil, Juhi prefers to stay behind the scenes as a successful businesswoman. We hope to see her back on screen soon though, doing what she does best.
