Of the storyline, the director duo says, "There have been quite a number of films with drama troupes as the background, but we are narrating a fresh story here.
"The fortunes of Jayabharathy theatres begin to soar after Pavithran (Jayasurya) enters the scene as a playwright. His plays were always based on real incidents and characters. After a while, Kottayam Gopalan (Kalabhavan Mani), the owner of the troupe sends the playwright to a village in search of a new story. There he meets a girl, Ally (Roma). Pavithran decides to write the story based on her life but things take a different turn soon."
The duo have assisted directors like Anil C Menon, Akbar Jose, Priyanandanan, T K Rajeev Kumar and K K Rajeev earlier.
