Emperor Sultan Iltames wants his daughter, Razia, to succeed him. But the decision is not taken well by the kingdom, as they are not used to be governed by a woman.

Razia soon proves herself but falls in love with the Abyssinian slave, Yaqub. Her nobles rise against her, and soon defeat her in a battle.

Fact: While the film shows that Razia was killed in the battle, history books have another ending.

During the battle, Yaqub was killed. But in order to save her life, Razia married her childhood friend, Malik Ikhtiar-ud-din Altunia.
