There's something immortal about R D Burman's creations, Kishore Kumar's voice and Rishi Kapoor's youth. And though remixes have never been high on a list of any purist, this ingenious combination of old with new gets a loud whistle and spontaneous thumbs up.
The upgraded and upbeat version by Vishal-Shekhar, featuring Kishoreda's son, Sumit (behind the scenes) and Ranbir Kapoor (Dad Rishi starred in the original) is a befitting tribute to the vivacious troika.
There's no bachna from three minutes and 33 seconds of foot-tapping bliss.
