Jigyasa loves her brother Jai Walia very much. She is only angry with the Dixit sisters (Bani, Pia and Ranu). After Pia elopes with Pushkar, she convinces Jai to marry Bani so as to take revenge on the former. She hates Ranu because she married her son Sahil and soon after his death, her other son Ranveer.

When she comes to know that Jai has started liking Bani, she feels insecure. Soon, she conspires to get Bani thrown out of the house.

Now after a seven-year leap, Bani and Jai are together again. But Jigyasa is a true chameleon who changes her colour as per her convenience.

Jaya Bhattachary replaced Ashwini for the role of Jigyasa but it didn't go down well with the audience. So Ashiwini returned as a result of public demand.
