It made her the next best thing to hit Bollywood, further enhanced the DDLJ duo's bank and BO status. Not to forget marked a very auspicious beginning for debutant director Karan Johar.

The film: Rakesh Roshan's ode to E.T. , Koi... Mil Gaya found its own reasons to celebrate. The Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta starrer not only minted money but also won our hero every award for Best Actor that year. Astounding reaction to the sci-fi flick, led to a sequel, Krrish. The latter belonging to the genre of super-hero films. Again, a 'super' success.
