But even the hottest or coolest don't last. After almost four years together, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake called it quits early this year.
Diaz and Timberlake met in April 2003 at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and were a couple a mere three months later. Diaz even accompanied Justin on a tour.
The smitten couple were plagued by break up rumours.
Then came the constant speculation that they were engaged when Diaz was spotted wearing a gold band in 2004. She denied the rumours though and was even quoted as saying she was 'a commitment-phobe' on live television.
