Shah Rukh Khan as Yeshwant Rao in Saathiya
After playing an awful husband in films like Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, SRK does well in Saathiya.
Essentially, it's about an awful husband (Vivek Oberoi) who eventually comes to his senses. SRK appears in a cameo to bring about this realisation.
As the compassionate husband of Tabu, he immediately comes to his wife's rescue on learning she's been involved in a car accident. While her victim (Rani Mukerji) struggles between life and death, he comforts her and asks for Vivek's forgiveness.
Even in a five-minute role, the actor gives a clear insight of how tender his Yeshwant Rao is.
