Parodi, Upendra's new film promises to be one that stresses on dialogues like one of his earlier huge successes, Raktha Kanneeru (a remake of late M R Radha's Tamil classic of the same name).
Though producers Lingaraju and Thyagu, and director Sai Prakash remain tight lipped about the story, in the film Upendra plays a character bearing a strong resemblance to Nana Patekar's character in the Hindi film Kranti Veer.
Upendra has also revealed another side to him. He has written the lyrics and also sung a few songs in Parodi! According to music director Rajesh Ramanath, "Upendra's lyrics and his playback singing are the highlights of Parodi."
At the audio launch of Parodi, Upendra promised his fans that he would take up direction soon.
