During her comeback trail, Dimple signed on to play the fiery Rinku Dayal opposite Chimpoo Kapoor and Raj Babbar in Ravindra Peepat's Lava.

Thought the triangle thriller is best remembered for R D Burman's melodious music, it featured Dimple in a central role and powerful performance, which has been unfairly overlooked over the years.
