Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
If it's Karan Johar, it's got to be big. His penchant for everything lavish was fully realised in his second directorial venture, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, fondly abbreviated to K3G.
A family melodrama of epic proportions, K3G's star cast was stuff Bollywood dreams are made of. With names like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji (in a guest appearance) to boast of, superstars enjoying giddy levels of popularity, Karan couldn't have asked for bigger.
Despite ho-hum reviews, the starry glamour and grandeur proved to be a huge draw what with K3G minting money at the box office -- at home and abroad.
