Before talking about Evano Oruvan, more has to be said about the achievements of Nishikant Kamat and Dombivili Fast. Last reported, the film had won more than 30 national and international awards. Reports have it that while the film was being made, the director did not even know how to take films to festivals!
But the film entered several major film festivals in the world and also won many awards, a recent one being at the Asian Film Festival of First Films in Singapore for best producer and best film.
Nishikant Kamat has been making television serials for a long time, and Dombivili Fast is his first feature film.
