He gets this break, out of the blue, to write a song for the biggest pop star (Cora Corman) in the world, who, incidently chose him because she was an ardent fan of PoP and wanted one of the founding members to pen her lyrics.

So, I get this great opportunity to write a song for her. The question is, can I write it? Because, though I can write music, I can't write lyrics.

So in comes Sophie (Drew Barrymore) to help me, though she doesn't know it yet. She plays a girl who is terrible with everything else but good with words. She comes to water my plants, and she even sucks at that. So it happens that while I'm struggling away with this terrible lyricist, trying to write this song, Drew's character out of the blue, spurts out a brilliant lyric and I realise she's got this incredible talent. I then try to persuade her to, um, help me write the song
