In the spotlight
So, how does it feel to be the hottest property on TV?
"Needless to say it feels great. To be in a serial like Kyun Ki and in a production house like this…it feels great," gushes the actress. "I give full credit to Ekta for making this happen. I had a really nice time," says Reshmi whose body hugging white sarees and off-shoulder blouses have become a rage among her fans.
However, Reshmi did not have it easy during the initial days. After winning the Miss India-Earth title, she gave Bollywood a shot. But her films - Saazish and Gehri Chaal - did not fare well at the box office, fueling rumours of her moving back to her hometown, Kolkata.
"I went back to Kolkata not because I did not have enough work here, but because I was scheduled to shoot for two Bengali telefilms. Plus, I also walked the ramp for a few shows there," says Reshmi, vehemently denying that she ran out of options in Mumbai.
"I also did some theatre while here in Mumbai, including Munshi Premchand's Godaan," the actress adds.
