Surya asked, hi anaitha.. tell us about aashayein.. both shimit and nagesh are young and well accomplished directors.. how different is the experience working with either of them?
Anaitha answers, Shimit (Amin) is a much quieter director, extremely shy while Nagesh is very hands on, a perfectionist to the core. One similarity they might share, which I think makes their films great, is the fact that they both are excellent editors. They know exactly what they want to retain or edit.
atif asked, How u compair this film with Lagaan??????
Anaitha answers, There is no comparison. Lagaan dealt with a higher cause, it wasn't just about the cricket, so in that sense it wasn't a 'sports film' in my opinion. You can't compare the two, Atif. They hold their own

Anaitha answers, It is. And I'll tell you why. We're so used to seeing SRK being over the top, that seeing him totally underplay such a huge moment touched a chord with everyone. This is his best performance. He was outstanding.

Anaitha answers, :) Im quite boring in reality. Nothing like in the film. Yes I can talk a dime a dozen, but that's about it. Not much of a party person at all, unlike Aliya...:)

Anaitha answers, Thanks you! I went through a lot of torture for that. It was painful. I coloured my hair 12 times in six months. You can only imagine the state of it after that. I'm glad it's over now.

Anaitha answers, Never. I played for an interhouse competition once because they were short of a player, but I contributed zilch to that game...:)just ran up and down the ground. It was fun, though.

Anaitha answers, I'll tell you one thing I admire about mallus...it's their abilty to locate another mallu in any corner of the world and the minute they do, their first question is "Nada evede?" As in 'where are you from in Kerala'. It's heartwarming.

Anaitha answers, We were 16 girls...What do you expect! But it's all part of the fun. We're great buddies now. Especially after the film was released.

Anaitha answers, Well, no. I think we were all in awe of his presence. But after spending six months with him, we got used to it. We used to call him 'Papa Khan' on the sets, or 'Uncle' sometimes. He was more of a father figure.

Anaitha answers, It was the stories of the actual Indian women's hockey team. For evereyone who's reading this, you must look up their history on the Net to know what a glorious past they've had and what great players they are. I only wish we had more respect and acknowledgement for them in this country. They are such talented players. Every one of them. They're in Hong Kong now defending their Gold medal at the Asian Games.
