August 14, 2007

It's that time of year again when sentiments run high. And no, we're not talking about a cricket match between India and Pakistan!

We're talking about national pride and solidarity. We're talking Independence Day. And this August 15 is extra special because India completes 60 years of Independence.

The Hindi film industry has been quite vocal in its celebration of the patriotic spirit. From movies to songs, we have it all, dedicated to India.

There are quite a few classics like A R Rahman's Vande Mataram, Lata Mangeahkar's Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, and film songs like Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon (Haqeeqat), Apni Azaadi Ko Hum (Leader), Bharat Ka Rehnewala Hoon (Purab Aur Pachsim) and Aye Mere Pyare Watan (Kabuliwala).

Which is your favourite patriotic song?
