LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) Detective Sergeant Roger Murtaugh (Glover), a veteran cop gets a new partner Martin Riggs (Gibson) on his 50th birthday.

A study in contrast, Glover's character is a perfect foil for the reckless and volatile partner in this 1987 hit.

Not happy with a partner 'with a death wish', Glover’s character soon revises his opinion of his partner when he (Gibson) saves his life.

From thereon, the two become inseparable and are thrown into an exciting adventure. Fast talking and equally fast action made this -- and the sequels that followed -- enjoyable and fun rides.
