Meet Jai from the new Sholay

Raj will be acting with Ajay Devgan, who is essaying Dharmendra's Veeru, and Mohan Lal, who has four National Awards under his belt.

"Amidst these great actors I am completely raw," confesses Raj. "They know it, and they have been very supportive. I know there is a dagger dangling on my head by playing that role. When Ramuji says so many good things about you, it's scary because suddenly the pressure is on," he adds.

What was shooting like, you naturally want to know. After all, this is the Bollywood classic we are talking about.

"It was unnerving," Raj admits. "My entire perception of what acting was all about was completely trashed. The effort that goes into making a film, the technical aspect, the angles -- it's a completely new world for me. There was a shot where I am supposed to be resting by the bar with Ajay Devgan. But there is no Ajay. I am talking to a plant or a leaf. That's what acting is all about. When you watch a movie you can't imagine the way it was shot."
