What makes Yash Chopra tick

Nowadays, Chopra claims that some films have too many gimmicks. "Films have gone very far costume and technique-wise these days. But when films have too many gimmicks, the focus is transferred," he explains.

Of course, when a film does well, then no matter how many mistakes it may have, they will all be overlooked. "You may not see mistakes in Krrish and Fanaa because they have done well. Hit ho gayi hai, toh har cheez theek hai," Chopra laughs. "Before Krrish released, Rakesh Roshan told me that the first half of Krrish was slow and weak, not as stylish as the second half. Now, the film has become a huge success. Has anyone mentioned these faults?" he asks.
