South Indian director Sangeeth Sivan's first Bollywood venture, Chura Liya Hai Tumne -- starring Zayed Khan [Images] and Esha Deol [Images] -- had sunk at the box-office, though its music fared well.
The director is back with a new film, Kya Kool Hai Hum -- starring Tusshar, Riteish Deshmukh [Images], Ishaa Koppikar and Neha Dhupia [Images]. Sivan says the film has a youthful subject, and that he chose his cast "based on the characters as every character is very distinct."
" All the artists have performed well and I have excellent performances from the lead cast. The music is very funny," he adds.
At Kya Kool Hai Hum's music launch
, the entire cast and director were present, sans Anu Malik [Images], the music director.rediff.com
spoke to the lead cast about the movie, which is being touted as a 'naughty comedy.'Riteish Deshmukh
: I play an over-confident boy who thinks he's always right. He constantly tells Tusshar how to lead his life. Our chemistry off the sets was very good. I hope that it's as good on the sets also!I don't know whether it [the film] is sex comedy. But we smile at the jokes, which have sexy, naughty messages. I will call it a naughty comedy.

Neha Dhupia
: This time, the sensuousness is not focused on the girls. It is (focused) on the boys. Both Isha and I look very simple.Sangeeth Sivan is a sensible director. He does not think that since he is a South Indian director, he will make a film like that. He has made a film for the Bollywood audience.
There is a lot of insanity in the movie. It has in-your-face comedy and is very loud.
The coolest part of the movie is the script, but everyone has done a good job.
I love the title track.
Ishaa Koppikar
: I play Urmila, a cop. I will not say further as my producer (Ekta Kapoor [Images]) has told me not to.Working on the film was fun. Riteish has a superb sense of humour. Tusshar and I were always fighting on the sets -- but always in a good sense. Since we were all young people, we had a good time. Our writer, Pankaj Trivedi, was always on the sets with us, as our director is South Indian. We have made an excellent film with teamwork.
I don't have too many scenes with Neha.
Tusshar
: Kya Kool Hai Hum is the story of two guys, Rahul and Karan. These guys want to change their lifestyle. In the process, they fall into trouble. It is a comedy of errors, and will be quite entertaining.I play Rahul. He wants to be rich and find romance in his life. But he doesn't know what path to take, as he is not smart. So he chooses a wrong way and gets stuck. And his life changes.
Kya Kool Hai Hum
is a spicy non-vegetarian comedy! You can call it a sex comedy. The jokes are naughty and people will enjoy them.Jeetendra [Images]: The veteran actor says he has only seen the promos of his son's new film. But to check if the rice is cooked, one does not have to eat all the rice, he adds. The promos, he says, are indication that everyone has worked hard at the film, and would be rewarded well.
