Madhuri Dixit-Nene gave birth to her second son on March 8, in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Dixit's first-born Arin is two years old, and also a March born child. He was born on March 18.

Madhuri had said she wanted her second child to be a girl, but the actress is quite happy being the mother of another boy.

The actress had opted out of two films just before she discovered she was pregnant for the second time, including Somnath Sen's film starring Amitabh Bachchan [Images], and Buddhadeb Dasgupta's Bengali film, Kaalpurush, a role which later went to Sameera Reddy [Images].

Madhuri's secretary Rikku says, "Both mother and son are hale and hearty."
