Originally, Khakee was supposed to hit the screens in November. The makers, however, decided to hold back the film to avoid a clash with Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Naa Ho, which released on November 27.

The film’s release date was pushed further from December to January. Reason: another biggie in the form of J P Dutta’s LoC-Kargil.

Khakee finally opens on January 23.
