January 23 is a big day for Amitabh Bachchan. It marks the release of two his films: Khakee and Aetbaar. Khakee is the obvious heavyweight with an impressive star cast of Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Tusshar Kapoor, Jaya Pradha, Tanuja and Atul Kulkarni.

His other release, Aetbaar, directed by Vikram Bhatt, is a thriller co-starring Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. If Khakee has him playing a cop for the umpteenth time, Aetbaar sees him as a physician. As an aside, AB portrayed a doctor in Honey Irani’s Armaan as well.

After successfully pairing opposite real wife Jaya Bachchan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Hema Malini in Baghban, Bachchan plays the husband to his co-star of Aakhri Raasta and Sharaabi, Jaya Pradha, in Khakee.
