An enraged Dutt cancelled shooting for the film Dus, being directed by Anubhav Sinha and co-produced by Raj Shah.

Speaking at a dinner reception hosted for him by Indo-Canadian August 8, Dutt denied any links with terrorists and said the report 'has damaged me, it has damaged my work, it has damaged me mentally. I can't work anymore.' 

'I was a victim of political vendetta'

Dutt, 45, was given special permission by a court in Mumbai to travel to Calgary to film the movie, in which he plays an anti-terrorist agent.

This was backed up by special permission from Canada as well.

'The minister has to look at it on a case-by-case basis,' said Citizenship and Immigration Canada spokesperson Maria Iadinardi.

Dutt was arrested in connection with March 12, 1993 bomb explosions in Mumbai, which killed more than 250 people and injured hundreds more. He was charged with possessing weapons and ammunition alleged to have been supplied to him by gangsters suspected of plotting the explosions.

The actor, who was jailed for nearly 18 months before being released on bail, is among 86 people still facing charges in relation to the bombings. He is expected back in court on August 30.
