It is amazing just how many movies Quentin Tarantino has lifted liberally from, for his Kill Bill series.

A manic fan of Hong Kong martial arts films, blaxploitation films, Japanese samurai films and spaghetti westerns, Tarantino has apparently borrowed from as many as 80 films to make Kill Bill.

And yet, he seems to have emerged a winner, having evolved a cinematic medium uniquely his own. Even though Kill Bill is all about a reassembling of other films, it also speaks of Tarantino's rabid passion for film.

On April 16, we will know whether Kill Bill Vol 2 is really 'cool' -- Tarantino's favourite keyword which he uses to describe movies he likes).
