Baghban is B R Chopra's (Naya Daur, Waqt, Nikaah) first production after Kal Ki Awaaz (1992), starring Dharmendra.

Chopra had penned the story of Baghban 40 years ago when he was in Norway. During a visit to an old age home, he learnt that most of the elderly people were very lonely and missed their children's love and affection. The incident touched him so much that he decided to make a film on it.

Baghban is scheduled for an October 3 release.
