Salman Khan scored recently with the hit film, Satish Kaushik's Tere Naam. Salman, who stars with AB for the first time, plays his adopted son. The role was initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan, who turned it down as he was busy with his production, Chalte Chalte.

Apparently, for one of the scenes in the film, Salman wore a T-shirt that was bought for Ravi Chopra's son, Kapil. Later, when Salman heard about it, he returned the T-shirt, along with a lot of gifts.

Mahima Chaudhry plays Salman's love interest in the film. The role was first offered to Juhi Chawla. Juhi could not take it up as she was pregnant at the time with her second child (the actress gave birth to a baby boy in July 2003 in London).
