Sofia Coppola played Michael Corleone's innocuous, albeit ill-fated daughter, Mary, in Godfather III.
Following her famous father’s footsteps, she turned director with Lick The Star (1998), followed by the inspiring The Virgin Suicides (1999).
Her new venture, Lost In Translation, is about an ageing television star (Bill Murray), who has a love affair with a young girl (Scarlett Johansson). The film received rave reviews at the 2003 Venice Film Festival.
