'Rules - Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula' is enjoyable

Ashish Magotra | September 04, 2003 23:44 IST

I was expecting a run-of-the-mill story, one that conformed. But I was in for a surprise.

Rules - Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula, directed by Parvati Gopalan, could be just what the doctor ordered for Bollywood.

Right from the way the songs are blended into the movie to the characterisation, it has a refreshingly different look and feel.

Don't expect too much and your patience will be amply rewarded.

Milind Soman delivers a sustained, subtle performance: one that you grow to like.

But Tanuja's screen presence overwhelms that of the other artistes with sublime ease.

Newcomers Meera Vasudevan and Namrata Barua leave their mark, too.

All in all, this feel-good romance makes for an enjoyable viewing.
