French actress Jeanne Moreau was awarded an honorary Palme d'Or for her lifetime achievements. The Golden Palm Short Film prize was awarded to Glendyn Ivin's Australian film, Cracker Bag. The Jury Prize was given to French director Juan Solanas for his film l'Homme sans Tete.
