Sushmita Sen was roped into the film when Manjrekar felt the need of a sutradhar (narrator). Vijay Raaz (of Monsoon Wedding fame) joins her as co-sutradhar.

Sen and Manjrekar also star in the comical song Hum tere sanam.

The duo are working together in Manjrekar's English version of Astitva, It Rained That Night.

Praan Jaye... was shot in a record 30 days; Sen only shot for a day.
