Aashish Chowdhary's earlier credits include Arjun Sablok's television film, Humko Ishq Ne Maara, and the popular television serial, Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye, costarring Perizaad Zorabian.

Chowdhary broke his leg on the first day of the shooting while descending a cable wire with Devgan. Devgan landed on top of Chowdhary and the latter fractured his leg.

Some of the action scenes in the film, which have been coordinated by Allan Amin (The Hero, Mission Kashmir), had Chowdhary walking around with a plastic bag tied around his leg.

It was Saif Ali Khan, however, who was the first choice for Chowdhary's role.
