Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar has been busy with his English film It Was Raining That Night featuring Sushmita Sen and himself. The Hindi version, Astitva starring Tabu, Sachin Khedekar and Mohnish Behl, directed by Manjrekar, released in 2000.
Now, indiafm.com reports that the Vaastav director is planning to remake Robert Mulligan's Summer of 42 in Bollywood.
Buzz is that Jaya Prada and Dino Morea will play the leads in this older woman-young man love story.
It may be recalled that Manjrekar had announced a project with Sanjay Dutt and Kareena Kapoor. Titled Ek Ajeeb Prem Kahani, the film again was a love story between a young girl and a older guy.
