Former Miss Universe (2000) Lara Dutta oozed glamour in her debut film, Andaaz. In her second film, MSAMD, Lara goes ethnic.

Apoorva was convinced Lara would make a convincing belle. "She's put in a lot [of effort] to get into the skin of her character and it shows on screen," he told rediff.com in an interview.

Lara is now working on Madhur Bhandarkar's Aan with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Shatrughan Sinha and Raveena Tandon.
