Khoobsurat (1980)

In Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khoobsurat, Rekha displayed a great comic performance. In the film, she tries to change her sister's in-laws' rigid ways of living.

The film also showcased her great mimicry talent. Khoobsurat did very well and won her a Filmfare Award.

This was her first film with Rakesh Roshan. The duo later worked together in Khoon Bhari Maang, Aurat Aurat Aurat, Mother and the recent Koi… Mil Gaya.

The versatile actress also won the Filmfare award for Khoon Bhari Maang and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. She was also awarded the Uttar Pradesh Award for Best Kathak Dancer in Hindi films by the King of Kathak, Pandit Lachchu Maharaj.
