Shakti-The Power (2002)

Though Shakti-The Power turned out to be a regressive and violent version of Brian Gilbert’s Not Without My Daughter, Karisma Kapoor was in her element.

She breathed fire through her eyes and conveyed benevolence and rage as the scorned mother. That she could hold her own against the towering presence of Nana Patekar adds to her merit.
