Border was a turning point in Sunil's career. Not only was the film a remarkable effort, it also gave Sunil Shetty a chance to be an actor.

Incidentally, the original choice for the Border Security Force officer was Akshay Kumar. But he did not have dates to spare for the multi-starrer. Akshay's loss was Sunil's gain.
