Hardly modest heroes!
Take Akshay Kumar, for example, who can't stop raving about the Abbas Mastan film Ajnabee. "We have shot almost all of it in Australia and it looks really good." On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan said he thinks Dil Chahta Hai is such a great flick, "I really don't think that I need to hardsell it. I am just so proud of it." ![]() Of Srishti Behl and Sushmita Sen
When Sanjay Narang's father expired on the last day of shooting, producer Srishti calmed Sushmita, told her not to worry about her shots and go home. Touched by her concern, Sen not only came for the shot, she even put on a smiling face for the camera. No wonder, then, that Srishti had nothing but praise for the actress. "This is professionalism. Someone in her family has passed away. Yet the actress chose to be here." Helps to play mother hen? You bet.
![]() "I'm not coming back" -- Shekhar Suman
"I gave it up when I had won the best anchor award. I thought it was best to give it up when the going was good." For Sonali Bendre and Karisma Kapoor, who are making their way into anchoring, Shekhar Suman says, "It's a great way to show the audience your entire persona. I think it gives you great satisfaction as an actor and I think the days of flop actors making it big on the small screen are over. More and more stars are finding a very loyal audience." For Shekhar fans, the actor has some aces up his sleeve in store. We'll just have to wait and watch. ![]() The bad times will pass Our heart goes out to Prakash Mehra, producer of Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao, whose wife Neera has been in coma for the last six months. Mehra is very upset and says he has lost all interest in film-making now. The film, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha and Arshad Warsi opens today. We hope the response will give him reason enough to smile.
