Bulandi and Karobaar, the first and last releases of Anil Kapoor in 2000, were among the biggest disasters of 2000.

The two films between the two debacles were his home productions: Pukar managed to remain afloat in some territories because of the tax exemption it deservedly got.

Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai did very well in Bombay and Gujarat-Saurashtra. But the response in other circuits was not so encouraging.
